The calculators are free tools that apply a stated formula to numbers you enter. Every calculation runs in your browser and the inputs are never sent to us. The result is arithmetic, not analysis: it does not know whether your inputs are correct, complete or appropriate for your business.

Nothing on this site is financial, legal, tax or investment advice, and using it does not create a professional relationship of any kind. The benchmark ranges are general orientation drawn from published industry guidance, not targets set for your business by any standards body. If a figure from this site is going to inform a funding round, a hire or a board decision, verify it against your own books first.

The site and its results are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We test the formulas and correct errors when they are reported, but we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result is correct for your circumstances.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on a result it produced, including decisions made on the basis of a calculation.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the calculators for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. You may not attempt to disrupt the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or republish its written content as your own.

6. Embedding

The embeddable versions linked from the embeds page may be placed on another website with the snippet provided there, provided the embed is not modified to remove its attribution link and is not presented as that site's own tool. We may change or withdraw an embed at any time.

The written explanations, the benchmark tables and the site's design are ours. The formulas themselves are standard industry definitions and are not claimed by anyone. You are welcome to cite or link to a page; do not copy it wholesale.
